8th Grade Enviroscape Presentations

The Enviroscape is a scaled-down model of a watershed that enables students to visually learn about stormwater runoff, water pollution, water quality, watersheds, and stewardship through a speaker-led presentation.

Stormwater Services, in cooperation with Cape Fear River Watch and New Hanover Soil & Water Conservation District, give Enviroscape watershed presentations to all 8th grade science classes in New Hanover County Schools. The presentation has been integrated into the 8th grade science curriculum and meets several objectives of 8th Grade Science Goal #3 of the North Carolina Standard Course of Study (NCSCOS).
