The successful candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:   POLICE Systems Analyst-Applications Job# 208181 New: Candidate will be responsible for support and administration of the Police Department’s networks and servers in conjunction and maintained by City’s IT Department, with a major focus on police related applications and technical issues. Candidate will assist with the implementation and maintenance of the network infrastructure improvements and project coordination. Candidate must have working knowledge or experience in design concepts, conceptual understanding of networking and client-server principals, database development, software tools and a variety of systems and applications. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field and 2 years of related systems experience or programming experience; or Associate's Degree in Computer Science or a related field and 4 years related systems or programming experience. Valid NC driver’s license required. Experience with software packages for desktop and browser based environment on various Windows server and workstation platforms, NET, SQL Server, Crystal Reports, IBM iSeries, RPG, CL and enterprise applications and wireless data systems is preferred. S.
