With a rapidly growing downtown, the City of Wilmington recognized the need to have an office devoted to strictly downtown issues, events, and activities. Downtown Services was created to fill this need. This office coordinates downtown events, liaisons to various downtown groups and organizations, coordinates the Adopt-an-Alley program, oversees the downtown docking program, and generally works on projects to make downtown a safer, more beautiful and economically viable area.
