Nature Discovery Backpacks

Cost:  $10 for five day rental  Click Here to Submit Reservation Form
Backpacks can be rented Monday-Saturday between 9 am - 5 pm 

Each backpack contains lessons, activities and equipment to learn about birds, mammals, insects, nature journaling and ponds. How-to videos with Halyburton Park’s education staff  are available online at www.halyburtonpark.com, as well as ideas on how and where to explore.

Virtual Little Explorers

Classes will be held outside on back patio.  Social distancing and COVID-19 safety procedures will be in place. Health screening questionnaire will be completed prior to each class  In the event of inclement weather, classes will be held via Facebook Live.

DISCOVERY HOUR - Scales & Tails - Freshwater Turtles

Drop in for a special hour-long interactive exhibit! During the Discovery Hour, park educators will present temporary displays featuring touchable animals, plants, and artifacts from the park’s collection.
