Special Olympics New Hanover County provides year-round sports training, competition, social events, and the Camp Shriver summer camp for people ages 8 and older with intellectual disabilities.

More than 600 athletes participate in Special Olympics New Hanover County. The program relies on private and corporate support as well as the efforts of over 300 volunteers. These services are provided at no cost to the athletes or their families.


Virtual Little Explorers - Fairy Tale Animals

Virtual Little Explorers -  Fairy Tale Animals

Cost:  Free   Age: 2-5  Pre-registration is required. 

Little Explorers ages 2-5 will learn about different nature topics through a story, an activity, and an example craft to do at home. These classes will be taught virtually using Microsoft Teams.
The link for the Microsoft Teams program will be sent to you the day before the program. 

Please Note:  that only one family member per household needs to register
