Wilmington Man Arrested for Three Armed Robberies

WILMINGTON, NC  – A Wilmington man has been arrested in connection with three armed robberies within a three-hour span last night.

Jeremy Matthew Turner, 29, was arrested by Leland Police today, after Wilmington Police took out warrants for his arrest early this morning.

 Turner was arrested for the 8pm armed robbery of the Scotchman at 901 S. 3rd St., in which he jumped behind the counter and grabbed money from the cash register while threatening the store’s clerk at knife point. He then fled the business in a vehicle.

 An hour later, Turner is believed to have robbed a CVS at 3302 Market St., where walked behind the counter, grabbed the clerk and held her at knife point while demanding she open the cash register. Turner then took money and fled the scene in his vehicle

 At 11pm, Turner is believed to have robbed another CVS, this time at 4600 Oleander Dr. Turner again walked behind the counter, threatened the clerk at knife point and stole money from the cash register before fleeing in a vehicle.

 No one was injured during these armed robberies.
