Final winter storm update
The City of Wilmington appreciates the cooperation and patience of our citizens as crews work to get operations back to normal following the storm.
City of Wilmington expects to be back on regular schedule on Thursday, Jan. 11 for trash pickup after catching up from last week’s snow/ice storm. On Monday and Tuesday, crews were able to collect trash/recycling from all routes cancelled last week and today are picking up yard waste and bulky items and responding to any customers who may have been missed. Any city customer who thinks their trash/recycling was missed during the catch up is asked to call 341-7875 and crews will respond as quickly as possible.
City crews are also out assessing the condition of more than 400 miles of city-maintained streets and making repairs as needed. Anyone who sees a pothole on a city-maintained street is asked to call 341-7879 and crews will be dispatched as quickly as possible to make an evaluation and respond as needed.

Major streets inside the city such as College Road and Market Street, as well as all streets (except private streets) outside the city limits, are maintained by the NC Department of Transportation. Anyone who sees potholes in those areas are asked to call 341-2250 or 1-877-368-4968, or fill out this form online.
