    Construction began in July and as of late November, site and building pad preparation, foundation construction and below slab utility installation have been completed.

    Roll-In Ceremony for Engine #8

    Today at Fire Station #8, the Wilmington Fire Department held its traditional “roll-in” ceremony for the new Engine 8. The roll-in ceremony is a brief informal tradition in which fire department personnel “push” the apparatus into its new station.

    At 11:17 AM Friday June 30th, Wilmington Fire Department units responded to a structure fire (duplex) in the 200 block of Williamson Drive. Upon arrival fire personnel reported having a working structure fire with both flames and smoke showing.

  • 1210 Lilac Court residential structure fire

    Wilmington Fire units were dispatched to 1210 Lilac court this morning for a reported residential structure fire. On arrival units reported working fire conditions with moderate smoke coming from a single story residential duplex structure.

    Upon arrival flames and smoke were showing from the rear of the structure at 509 N 8th which had extended to the vinyl siding and into the attic space of the adjacent structure at 507 N. 8th.

  • Residential Fire

    Wilmington Fire personnel responded Sunday night April 16 at approximately 08:00 PM to a single family residential structure fire at 201 Kidder St. Fire crews arrived to heavy flames showing from the rear of the building. First arriving crews pulled fire attack lines and started fire control.
