Last week crews completed repaving Willard Street as part of the city’s 5-Year-Infrastructure Improvement Plan.

A major drainage improvement project at Williston Middle School is now complete
The newly completed Central College Trail is a 1.3 mile paved multi-use path that runs along the west side of South College Road from Holly Tree Road to 17th Street/Waltmoor Drive.
Starting Wednesday, Oct. 23, Montgomery Avenue, between Princess Place Drive and Market Street, will be closed to thru-traffic as crews make repairs to an underground drainage pipe for approximately four weeks.
Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo and City Attorney John Joye traveled to Cleveland, Ohio last week to take part in ongoing discussions related to a lawsuit the city filed in 2017 against parties that have caused or contributed to the opioid crisis in the local community.
The City of Wilmington has received a $1.8 million grant from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development to help make homes in the area safer for low-to moderate income households. The city will provide $150,000 in matching funds.
