Materials Recovery Facility Overview
Have you ever wondered what happens to your recycling after it leaves your home? Enter the world of Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) - the centers that sort and separate our recycling. In this lesson, students will navigate their way through the sorting process, learning about the technology and tools used to turn yesterday's trash into tomorrow's treasures. Perfect for elementary classroom and home-school teachers, this lesson will give your students the chance to use their math, science, and critical thinking skills in a new way!
