Teen Art Journals

Please join the City of Wilmington Parks & Recreation - in collaboration with DREAMS Center for Arts Education - for Teen Art Journals! Teens will be provided with mixed-media art journals and will be provided with prompts, discussion, and materials each week to create inside their journals. Discussion and art prompt topics will intentionally apply to teens, such as gratitude, handling stress, friendship, etc. Participants will be encouraged to continue creating in their journals on their own after the conclusion of the program. Ages: 13 - 17  

Cost: FREE

Times: Thursdays, November 6 - December 11 | 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Afterschool Program

Program, for the full academic term, includes homework assistance, arts/crafts, sports activities, healthy snacks and more.  

Transportation pick up from Forest Hills Elementary School and International School at Gregory.

Ages: Kindergarten - 5th grade  

Cost: $30/month (Fee assistance is available)

Times: Monday - Friday (2:30 - 5:30 p.m.)

With the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, sometimes it’s hard to find time to plan a family fun night. Wilmington Parks and Recreation staff fully understand this - and we’ve got you covered. Join us every first Friday of the month for our hand-picked movie night! This event is at no cost to the attendees and will take place from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. which is perfect for a school night.


Duration: September 4 - December 5, 2025 | 1st Friday of Each Month | Ages: 5 - 11
