17th Street MUP

This 0.3 mile multi-use path will run along S. 17th Street from Harbour Drive to Shipyard Boulevard. It will connect to existing sidewalks and provide safe bicycle/pedestrian access to commercial areas along S. 17th Street. This project also adds pedestrian crosswalks at the intersection of S. 17th and Shipyard to enable safe pedestrian crossing of the intersection.

Dawson Wooster Streetscape

Dawson and Wooster streets serve as a primary entrance and exit to the city. Planned improvements for the roadways include hardscaping, landscaping, and pedestrian amenities.

Eastwood Road

This project is improving the look and function of Eastwood Road between Bretonshire Road and Cavalier Drive. This busy corridor is a primary route for traffic to Wrightsville Beach. Improvements include a median with traffic signals and U-turn areas along Eastwood Road between Cardinal Drive and Military Cutoff Road.

Fifth Avenue Street, Sidewalk, And Water Utility Improvement Project

The City recently completed an improvement project along Fifth Avenue, a scenic connector between downtown and Greenfield Lake Park, through a coordinated effort that brought multiple plans, departments, and partners together around a shared goal.

Front Street Bridge Replacement

The work will involve a full replacement of the bridge deck; repairs to existing pedestals; cleaning, painting, and repair of the steel members and substructure; and installation of a new three-bar metal rail system that complies with current NCDOT standards

Greenville Loop Park Project

The City of Wilmington, New Hanover County, and The Endowment are pleased to announce a collaborative investment to support the City’s acquisition and preservation of approximately 25 acres of green space off Greenville Loop Road for the development of a public park.

Greenville Loop Trail

The City of Wilmington is in the design and construction phase of Greenville Loop Trail, which has been split into four phases to expedite completion. The Greenville Loop Trail is part of the rapidly expanding network of multi-use trails being planned and constructed in the city.
