The Strategy and Innovation Department is responsible for advancing the City’s long-term organizational effectiveness through strategic planning, performance management, internal audit, research, and innovation.
The department leads development and coordination of the City’s strategic plan, supports departments in creating and aligning annual business plans, drives process improvement, and administers the organization’s performance management framework to track progress, outcomes, and accountability. It also oversees internal audit functions to promote transparency, strengthen internal controls, and ensure accountability across City operations.
In addition, the department conducts research, benchmarking, and policy analysis to inform decision-making, improve service delivery, and identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvements across the organization.
