Human Services Grant mandatory virtual workshop

Due to increased desire for an additional workshop and the short turnaround for the first two workshops, the City will hold one final workshop for any agencies that did not attend the earlier sessions. This final workshop will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 10 a.m.

The City of Wilmington has opened the application process for its Human Services Grant, reinforcing its commitment to supporting local organizations that provide direct services to residents.

To better align with the City’s Strategic Plan and evolving community needs, the grant program now features a two-tiered structure:

  • Tier 1: Impact Fund – up to 2 awards
  • Tier 2: Human Services – up to 20 awards

Funded programs must align with at least one of the five focus areas from the City’s Strategic Plan:

  • Housing and Neighborhoods
  • Transportation and Infrastructure
  • Safety
  • Organizational Excellence
  • Economic Development and Cultural Vibrancy

Eligible programs must also serve one or more of the following populations:

  • Older Adults (age 55 and over)
  • Youth and Young Adults (under age 24)
  • Individuals Experiencing Housing Insecurity
  • Persons with Mental or Physical Disabilities
  • Survivors of Domestic Violence or Child Abuse

Organizations interested in applying must attend one of the mandatory Human Services Grant Workshops. Original dates have passed, but we are pleased to offer one final opportunity.

Final Workshop Date: October 8 at 10:00am.
