The Wilmington Police Department has been running its cost free Cop Camp since 1995. Cop Camp is designed to provide children with an opportunity to positively interact with law enforcement personnel. Throughout the five days of camp children participate in recreational activities, field trips, educational experiences, and a community service project.
Session One: Cop Camp - 3rd and 4th grade
Session Two: Junior Academy - 5th and 6th grade
***More than one child from a family can be referred, however, they must also meet the criteria.
By parents, guardians, social workers, counselors, teachers, and police officers that recommend kids who meet the requirements.
