Don't miss your chance for free trees this Friday, December 5!
The Alliance for Cape Fear Trees is giving away 1,400 native trees to the public at Legion Stadium, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. or while supplies last. If any trees are still available, the giveaway will be continued on Saturday morning. Trees tend to go quickly, though, so definitely try to stop by early on Friday if you can!
There will be 14 different native species of trees to choose from, ranging from fruit trees to water-loving trees to large canopy trees. To see the species list, as well as some tips for how to care for and plant each species, click here.
We'll also be there with an opportunity for someone to win a free rain barrel! Stop by our table, share where you'll be planting your trees, and you'll be automatically entered into the raffle. 50-gallon rain barrels are normally $85, so don't miss your chance to win a free one that you can then use to water your brand new trees!
