Join the Sister Cities Association of Wilmington for a free Spring Festival cooking workshop on Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the MLK Community Center Kitchen, 401 S. 8th St.
This hands-on class will explore the art of making traditional Guangdong soup, a beloved Southern China delicacy often enjoyed during Spring Festival celebrations.
Led by Grace North and guest chef DJ, participants will learn how to prepare a classic Chinese yam and chestnut chicken soup passed down through generations of DJ’s family.
The restorative broth is known for its warmth, symbolism, and role in bringing loved ones together at the New Year’s table. Space is limited, and advance registration is required by emailing membership@scawilmington.org
