Venus flytraps

The Flytrap Frolic returns Saturday, June 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Stanley Rehder Carnivorous Plant Garden for a day dedicated to the world-famous Venus flytrap and other carnivorous plants native to our region.

Hosted by the NC Coastal Land Trust, this free community event offers something for all ages, including educational exhibits, hands-on activities, arts and crafts, games, face painting, and opportunities to explore the unique habitats that make southeastern North Carolina home to these remarkable plants.

Residents and visitors alike are invited to stop by, enjoy the garden, and learn more about the importance of protecting Wilmington’s native ecosystems.
