We’ve been hard at work building One City, a simple idea with a big impact. It means working together: fewer silos; stronger teamwork; and a shared focus on serving our employees, residents, and community. Curious about the "what" and the "why" behind the organizational realignment?
Join the City's Commission on African American History on Thursday, March 26, as we unveil a North Carolina State Highway Historical Marker honoring Zachariah Jacobs, a local Patriot and one of more than 460 men of color from North Carolina who served during the American Revolution. Jacobs fought in multiple pivotal battles of the Revolution and was wounded in 1781. With this marker, his service will soon be permanently recognized right here in Wilmington. -Thursday, March 26 -9:30 a.m. -3rd Street & Grace Street
