On Aug. 28 at 10 a.m., the City will recognize two local coaches and youth mentors by renaming both the old and new gyms at the MLK Community Center in their honor. William E. "Big Train" Murphy III and Coach Ronald E. Davis dedicated their lives to coaching. Murphy served with the City's Parks and Recreation department and as director of the 8th Street Center, and Davis served in numerous youth sports programs throughout Wilmington.
Join us at the MLK Center, 401 S. 8th St., as we remember their lives and honor their legacies.
