Muni Centennial Celebration & Tournament

The City of Wilmington is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Donald Ross Municipal Golf Course with a Centennial Tournament open to all golfers who wish to take part in this milestone celebration. The event will feature golf, food, prizes, music, a special tee gift, and activities for all participants.

Schedule of Events

11:00 a.m.: Opening ceremony with remarks from Mayor Bill Saffo, Parks & Recreation Director Amy Beatty, Course Manager David Donovan, and Friends of Muni Chairperson, Louise McColl
11:30 a.m.: Opening tee shot by Mayor Saffo
11:35 a.m.: Shotgun start; lunch provided by Honey Baked Ham
4 to 7 p.m.: Live music by the Cruise Brothers; dinner after play provided by Middle of the Island Catering

Tournament Format

• Captain’s choice format
• Players register individually, and pairings will be created by pro shop staff to ensure balanced teams.
• If registration exceeds 128 players, a drawing will be held to determine the final field. Pairings will be posted on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
• Entry fee is $100 per player. Post-play guests are welcome for dinner with a $30 fee.
