The City of Wilmington's Community Relations Advisory Committee was established January 20, 2026. The purpose of the Committee shall be improving the quality of life and sense of belonging in the Wilmington community by strengthening civic unity and addressing conditions of prejudice, exclusion, or disparity that weaken trust and opportunities. The Committee will serve in an advisory capacity to City Council by providing data-driven recommendations and information to create broader access for all residents, encourage equitable treatment in services, and promote mutual understanding and respect amongst all people.
The Committee shall be comprised of seven (7) "At Large" members with an emphasis on appointing members who represent or have experience working with the following areas of the community:
