Dignitaries salute 9/11 memorial wreath
On the morning of September 11th, first responders and members of our community gathered at Station No. 2 in Empie Park for a Remembrance Ceremony honoring the lives lost and the heroes who responded on that tragic day.

Fire Chief Steve Mason and Firefighter Daniel Hill delivered heartfelt speeches reflecting on the bravery, sacrifices, and devotion shown by first responders on September 11, 2001. Firefighter Hill, a former member of the NYPD who responded to the attacks, shared his personal story from that day. He emphasized that first responders handled the situation as they would any other, upholding their duty, going in, and getting the job done. His words were a powerful reminder of the dedication and courage first responders embody.

We would like to thank all those who attended and joined us in honoring all those impacted by 9/11.
