The Wilmington Municipal Golf Course's Tee Time policy changed in 2024. Please view the new tee time policy(PDF, 632KB).

The Golf Course Advisory Committee in coordination with city staff benchmarked other golf course advanced tee time reservation policies in response to citizen inquiries. After several months of evaluation, the GCAC approved the attached policy presented by staff. GCAC and city staff considered input from the public while drafting the revised policy.

The revised policy is intended to create more opportunities for the public to access desirable tee times. The Parks and Recreation Department will monitor the implementation of the policy and the policy’s impact on golf course patrons.

If you have any questions about this policy or its contents, contact Assistant City Manager Thom Moton or Parks and Recreation Director Amy Beatty.

2024 Irrigation Project: What Is It?

The Wilmington Municipal Golf Course is recognized as one of the finest “Muni’s” in the country.  This is due to investments in capital projects over the last 10 years that include a 2014 restoration of the greens and bunkers, 2022 clubhouse remodel, 2023 tee box renovation, and a 2023 greens drainage project. Operated as an enterprise fund, the funds generated from course revenues are used for these projects.

The next major investment will commence at the end of September with the installation of a new $1.9 million irrigation system. See WHY here(PDF, 109KB)
