The MLK Center and Davis Center, in partnership with AARP North Carolina, are hosting a free Disaster Preparedness Education Series for active adults designed to help residents prepare for emergencies, stay informed during severe weather and recover safely after a disaster.
Throughout the series, expert partners will share practical tips and resources on: ✅ Creating emergency plans and emergency supply kits ✅ Receiving weather alerts and reliable updates ✅ Preparing meals safely during power outages ✅ Accessing recovery resources after a disaster
Join us July 17 through October 13 at the MLK Center and Davis Center to learn how you can be better prepared before, during and after an emergency.
