The Commission on African American History plans, develops, and implements community projects to recognize and increase the awareness of the contributions of African-Americans to Wilmington's history; to encourage and assist African-American history; to recognize sites in the community that are significant to African-American history.
Membership
Appointments are made by City Council to serve three-year, staggered terms with no one serving more than two consecutive terms.
