Municipal Services District Advisory Committee

On December 5, 2016, the Wilmington City Council established a Downtown Municipal Services District. A fourteen (14) seat committee was created to represent various interests throughout the MSD. However, on April 1, 2025 the Wilmington City Council reduced the number of members from a fourteen (14) seat Committee to a nine (9) members Committee. 

Membership

The nine (9) members on the board serve three (3) year staggered terms and are comprised of the following:

• Two (2) Municipal Services District (MSD) Residents
• One (1) Large Property Owners (>$2 Million)
• One (1) Municipal Services District (MSD) Property Owner or Real Estate Developer
• Three (3) Municipal Services District (MSD) Retail, Restaurant, Nightlife, or Professional Services representatives
• One (1) Representative from Downtown Business Alliance (DBA
• One (1) Representative from Wilmington Downtown, Inc. Board (WDI)
