When you think of Hewletts Creek, do you think of Venus flytraps?

While they might not be the first plant that comes to mind, we're here to tell you that you CAN find them in the Hewletts Creek Watershed! The Stanley Rehder Carnivorous Plant Garden is in the upper reaches of the watershed and has lots of examples of carnivorous plants, including flytraps.

While you can visit anytime to see them in-person, there's a great opportunity coming up on Saturday, June 7th to interact with experts and celebrate flytraps with fun and games! Coastal Land Trust is hosting its 15th Annual Flytrap Frolic at the garden and everyone is welcome.

Check out one of our coolest native plants up-close at this free and family-friendly event! More details here: Flytrap Frolic Website

Can't make the event? Plan your own visit to see Venus flytraps and other carnivorous plants here: Stanley Rehder Carnivorous Plant Garden
