City of Wilmington Now Accepting Applications for Human Services Grant
The City of Wilmington has opened the application process for its Human Services Grant, reinforcing its commitment to supporting local organizations that provide direct services to residents.
To better align with the City’s Strategic Plan and evolving community needs, the grant program now features a two-tiered structure:
Tier 1: Impact Fund – up to 2 awards
Tier 2: Human Services – up to 20 awards
Funded programs must align with at least one of the five focus areas from the City’s Strategic Plan:
Housing and Neighborhoods
Transportation and Infrastructure
Safety
Organizational Excellence
Economic Development and Cultural Vibrancy
Eligible programs must also serve one or more of the following populations:
Older Adults (age 55 and over)
Youth and Young Adults (under age 24)
Individuals Experiencing Housing Insecurity
Persons with Mental Disabilities
Survivors of Domestic Violence or Child Abuse
Organizations interested in applying must attend one of two mandatory Human Services Grant Workshops on September 10, 10:30am or September 12, 10am.
