Basketball Leagues

18U Basketball League

Ages: 13 - 18

Duration: June 16 – July 23, 2025

Game Days: Monday and Wednesday

Junior Officials Program

Step into the game with Wilmington Parks & Recreation’s Jr. Officials Program! Designed for teens and young adults, this program provides a hands-on introduction to sports officiating, helping participants develop leadership skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the game. Register here! 


Jr. Official Program (Basketball)

Ages: 14 - 18

Duration: June 17 – July 31, 2025 (Tuesdays and Thursdays)

Time: 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. 

Location: MLK Center (401 S. 8th St)

Program Overview: Youth will be trained to operate the scorer’s table and officiate for Wilmington’s Basketball Leagues while developing leadership, professionalism, and life skills through interactive activities. The program includes outdoor recreation and team bonding, with opportunities for graduates to be hired as league officials!


Coach Pitch Baseball

Step up to the next level with Coach Pitch Baseball—the perfect bridge between T-Ball and traditional baseball! This exciting program helps young players develop their skills in a fun, supportive, and instructional environment. With coaches pitching, kids gain confidence at the plate while learning essential baseball fundamentals like hitting, fielding, and base running. Register Here!

Girls Flag Football

Girls Flag Football is here! Join the City of Wilmington Parks & Recreation for an exciting season of Flag Football for girls ages 14U-17U!


Evaluations will be held on May 5th, 2025. Practices take place at Davis Center & MLK Center, and registration is just $45 per player.

Flag Football

Get in the game with Wilmington Parks & Recreation’s Flag Football Program! This exciting, non-contact sport is perfect for players, between the ages of 7 & 15, who want to develop teamwork, stay active, and have fun on the field. Our league emphasizes skill-building, sportsmanship, and friendly competition in a safe and supportive environment. Register here!
